New name, same old stuff. Sorta...

What happened to Fair Weather Kenny? Well, I got tired of trying to figure out what the hell was wrong with blogger. I kept having so many problems with trying to post, adding photos, videos, etc. I just said FUCK IT! Having not written a blog since last June, I decided to start over, hoping things will be better. The main problem with blogger is there is no place to go for help. If something wasn't working, or you couldn't figure something out, all you could do is go to forums. You could usually find people having similar problems on these forums. But, no one could seem to figure them out, either! I'm hoping that starting over will help. I went several years with absolutely no problems, to having all kinds of them. I was very frustrated. My good friend Bill (http://billsmagicalmysterytour.blogspot.com/), said it is because I use Windows. Maybe he is right. We'll see.
Another phenomenon has happened since I started blogging, and that of course is facebook. The speed upon which you can convey anything and to so many people has changed dramatically. Along with this, is our reducing of information to one quick sound bite (written bite?), vs taking the time to read a story. I'm as guilty as the next guy. I've been using facebook like everyone else to toss out the quick note or blurb. The reason I haven't given up entirely on blogging is that some of you have said you missed my blogs, and said that you enjoyed reading them. To those of you, thank you very much! I missed writing them, as well.

Now, if you're wondering what the hell is with the name, "Kenny's reCycled 8 Track Travel Guide"? Let's see if I can explain.

Kenny's: ownership, it's always my thoughts, as off the wall as they may be.
reCycled: Well, my stories do tend to be about cycling, over and over and over...
8Track: Several points here. My love of music began early in life, but, having music in a car in the '70's was the greatest thing. Akin to canned beer and sliced bread. 8 tracks were the start of that. And of course, this references the time of which I grew up and my values, such as they are. Those of you over 50 know what I mean.
Travel Guide: Travels through my life? I suppose. Cycling, Anguilla, Colorado, cooking, and now beer making.

So, my friends, welcome to Kenny's reCycled 8 Track Travel Guide.

Due to programming, there is 8:11 of silence.

PS-As I finished writing the final sentence above, a howling rainstorm swept in and the power flickered twice, the screen went blank, and then the power went out for over an hour. An auspicious start! I thought for sure everything would be gone, but it was all there when the power came back on.
